Dan Fulwider Award for Community Service

The Dan Fulwider Award for Community Involvement is named in memory of Dan Fulwider, an avid philanthropist and former government affairs coordinator and membership liaison for the Independent Insurance Agents of Iowa. The award recognizes the Big “I” member who has gone above and beyond the call of service to truly make a lasting difference in their community over the past year.
Whether you support a local charity, little league team, or any other way you give back to your community, we want to celebrate you! You can nominate yourself, your agency, or another agent or agency. Applications for the 2027 award will open in Spring 2027.

Rosie Sebahie Named 2026 Dan Fulwider Award Winner

At the 2026 Big “I” Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C., Trusted Choice® presented Rosie Sebahie of USI Insurance Services with the Dan Fulwider Award for Community Involvement, recognizing outstanding service and impact. The award honors the legacy of Dan Fulwider and celebrates individuals who go above and beyond to strengthen their communities.

After the loss of her son, Sebahie founded the Alex Sebahie Never Back Down Foundation, now serving communities across New Jersey through scholarships, mentorship, and support for families facing hardship. She also leads blood drives with the American Red Cross and promotes literacy through the Women’s Federation. “We protect what matters most…service is a foundation of trust,” Sebahie said.
